Things I Don’t Regret Buying — My Favourite Purchases That Are Actually Worth It

Things I don’t regret buying.

I’ve shared this on TikTok before and it always does well.

But I know a lot of you don’t follow me there.

So, I thought I’d put together a proper breakdown of the things I’ve bought that were absolutely worth it.

This isn’t a flex list.

It’s not about spending money for the sake of it.

These are the purchases that genuinely make my life better, bring me enjoyment, or make my work easier.

Rolex Day-Date — The Japan Find

When I think of Rolex, I think of the all-gold Day-Date.

To me, that’s the iconic Rolex.

I found this one last year in Japan, where the watch market is insane.

Probably one of the best in the world.

You can find pieces there you’d struggle to get anywhere else.

This specific model is a 1997 gold Day-Date.

It was originally sold in Munich, Germany, and somehow ended up in Tokyo.

I paid 18,000 dollars for it, which sounds like a lot, but a brand-new version goes for around 40,000 dollars.

The price difference is mainly because this older model doesn’t have solid gold links.

It had also been fully refurbished before I bought it, so it looks brand new.

I picked it up from Watch Union, a well-known and trusted name in Japan’s grey watch market.

For me, it’s more than just a watch.

It’s a memory of my first trip to Japan.

And one day, if I ever have kids, I’d love to pass it down.

Porsche 911 Carrera S — The Everyday Sports Car

I bought my Porsche 911 Carrera S in December last year.

It’s the 2022 model in GT Silver, and honestly, it’s become one of my favourite cars I’ve owned.

It has black wheels, which I wouldn’t normally choose, but it came with the car so I left them as is.

Ever since Porsche revealed the 992 generation back in 2018, I’ve been hooked.

The light bar across the rear just did it for me.

Before that, I wasn’t really into Porsches, but this one changed my mind completely.

Since moving to Dubai, I thought, why not try one?

I’ve owned a Ferrari 488 before, and while that was incredible, the 911 is a very different experience.

It’s the perfect everyday sports car.

I’ll probably do a longer-term review later this year once the weather cools and I’ve put more miles on it.

But right now, no regrets here.

GRAMS28 Adventure Collection — Bags Built for Travel

GRAMS28 is one of my favourite bag companies.

They’ve just released their new Adventure Collection.

This range is very different from their usual premium leather products.

These bags are designed to be rugged, lightweight, and travel-friendly.

They’re made from water-resistant and tear-resistant X-Pac material and come in three colours: tan, olive, and charcoal.

There are three bags in the lineup:

  • A backpack with a clever dual-zip design
  • A duffel bag with a luggage passthrough
  • And my personal favourite, the sling bag

The sling fits a 13-inch laptop, camera gear, and lenses comfortably, all padded and protected.

Perfect for vacations or work trips.

And you don’t need to baby them like you would with leather bags.

Steam Deck — My Favourite Travel Gadget

I bought the Steam Deck when it first launched, but honestly, it sat unused for over a year.

Then earlier this year, I took it on vacation and it completely changed how I game while travelling.

It’s not exactly pocket-friendly, but if you’re a gamer like me, being able to play AAA titles or indie games anywhere without relying on an internet connection is amazing.

For the price, the Steam Deck is such good value.

I’d pick it over the Nintendo Switch 2 any day, and I own both.

If you’ve been on the fence about getting one, I’d highly recommend it.

MacBook Pro 14″ (M4 Max) — My Workhorse

This one’s a no-brainer.

My MacBook Pro 14-inch in Space Black is probably the single purchase I’ve gotten the most return on.

Specs-wise, mine has:

  • M4 Max chip
  • 32GB RAM
  • 4TB SSD

I paid around 4,500 dollars for it, but this is the machine that runs everything.

YouTube, client projects, websites, photo editing, video editing, you name it.

Honestly, this thing will make me millions over the years.

If you don’t need the extra horsepower, the MacBook Air is still the best value laptop you can get right now.

But if you’re editing 4K video or working with heavy files, the M4 Max is worth every cent.

Anker 737 Power Bank — My Travel Lifesaver

I’ve featured this Anker 737 Power Bank a few times, but it deserves another mention.

It’s powerful enough to charge my MacBook Pro at up to 165 watts, and the built-in cables make it so convenient.

No extra cables to carry.

It also has a display showing how much charge you’ve got left, which comes in handy on long flights.

When I’m gaming on the Steam Deck mid-flight, this thing keeps it, my laptop, and my phone topped up all day without plugging into a wall.

Kismas Lamp — A Subtle Aesthetic Upgrade

This is one of those little design pieces I just love.

It’s essentially a vintage glass block sitting on a modern light bar stand.

Simple, clean, and it looks great on a desk or shelf.

It also comes with colour filters, so you can easily switch up the vibe without changing the lamp itself.

Maison Crivelli Oud Maracuyá — My Go-To Fragrance

I usually stick to one fragrance at a time, and right now, it’s Oud Maracuyá by Maison Crivelli.

I found it through a TikTok recommendation and instantly loved it.

It’s rich, bold, and lasts forever.

Spray it on clothes and you’ll still smell it a week later.

If you’re into fragrances and want something unique, this one’s worth trying.

Aesop Resurrection Hand Balm — Everyday Essential

I keep a tube of this Aesop hand balm everywhere.

One at my desk, one in the car, and one in the bedroom.

I’ve been using it for years.

It smells amazing, keeps my hands moisturised, and honestly, it’s just one of those small luxuries that make a difference day to day.

Fujifilm X100VI — The Camera That Made Me Fall in Love With Photography Again

I’ve used Sony cameras for years and still do for YouTube and client work.

But when I want to enjoy photography, I always reach for the Fujifilm X100VI.

It’s compact, beautiful, and a joy to use.

The manual dials and film simulation recipes make shooting feel intentional, and I find myself experimenting a lot more with this camera.

I don’t use it as much as I should, mainly because the iPhone camera is so good these days, but when I do, it makes me love photography again.

If you’re thinking about getting into photography, Fujifilm is such a great place to start.

No Regrets With These Purchases

These aren’t impulse buys or status symbols.

They’re the things that have added value to my life.

Whether that’s making work easier, travel smoother, or just making day-to-day life a little more enjoyable.

If you’ve picked up something recently that you don’t regret buying, let me know in the comments.

I’m always looking for products that make life better.
