3D Color Waves Wallpaper Pack

When I first released the original Color Waves Wallpaper Pack (over 3 years ago now, how crazy), it was meant to be a simple upgrade for your screen.

Some colour, a bit of movement, nothing distracting.

I didn’t expect it to become one of my most popular wallpaper packs to date.

Over time, I kept seeing it pop up in desk setups, home screens, and background shots in videos.

People liked how it added colour without taking over the whole screen.

So this new pack isn’t a replacement.

It’s more of a next step.

Building on the Original

The original Color Waves pack worked because it was easy to live with.

You could drop it in and your setup instantly felt better.

Something simple and visually appealing.

For this new version, the goal was to keep that same feel — but add a bit more depth.

We took what people liked about Color Waves and mixed it with ideas from the 3D Palette Wallpaper Pack, which was really well received.

Instead of flat waves, each wallpaper now has subtle 3D layers that give the design more shape and presence — without making it busy.

How I’d Describe the Look and Feel

The 3D Color Waves pack is still clean and minimal, but it feels more ’physical’ than the original.

Instead of flat colour shapes, the waves have depth.

The colours sit in layers, and the way light moves across them makes the wallpaper feel softer and more dimensional — almost like tinted glass stacked together.

Nothing is harsh or overly shiny.

It’s subtle, on purpose.

Designed With a Bit More Intention

I worked with a graphic designer on this pack to make sure the 3D actually felt right.

Although I have a design background, my skills become maxed out when it comes to rendering.

I knew that to get the best possible product, I would need to get an amazing designer onboard.

These aren’t just flat images with fake depth added on top.

Each wallpaper was created in 3D software, so the lighting, shadows, and colour layers all feel natural.

Why the 3D Works

The wave pattern already has movement built into it.

Adding depth just makes it feel more real.

The 3D effect:

  • Separates each colour layer slightly
  • Adds a glass-like look without heavy textures
  • Makes the wallpaper feel more premium, especially on larger screens

It still stays in the background — it just feels less flat.

Made for Everyday Setups

Like all my wallpaper packs, this one was designed to actually be used.

They work well:

  • Behind app icons and widgets
  • On big monitors and ultra-wide displays
  • On phones, tablets, and laptops

They’re colourful, but not overbearing.

Clean, but not boring.

You don’t need to change your whole setup around them — they just fit.
